About
The Services Catalog is a live directory of every tool Carol hosts — a phonebook for the Carolverse that scans the `services/` folder automatically. Rather than maintaining a static list, it refreshes whenever a new service pops up or an old one retires, so the catalogue always reflects what’s actually running. It’s owned and tended by Carol (Carol), who uses it to keep tabs on the ecosystem’s health.
Because it requires login, only the team sees this view. That makes it the quickest way to answer “What apps do we have?” without digging through code. Newcomers get oriented, veterans find obscure utilities, and nobody has to guess a service’s URL.
Usage Patterns
You’ll turn to the Services Catalog when you’re exploring Carol’s capabilities or hunting for a specific endpoint. Imagine someone planning a new feature: they check the catalog to see if a Data Dictionary or an Image Generator already exists, avoiding duplicate work. It’s also the first stop when a tool’s address slips your mind.
Access it through the Carol Apps (Carol Apps) under the “Services” entry. The page lists each service’s name, description, and direct link — all drawn fresh from the server. Because the catalog is private, only authenticated team members can browse; that keeps internal details tidy while still giving everyone a single source of truth for what’s live.

As of 2025-04-14, the System Services catalogue service within the Services Catalog app has been reassigned from Radagast to Hagrid, including its Core track and 5 category blocks. This ownership change aligns the service closer to infrastructure.
The Services Catalogue landing grid now sorts services by activity (busiest first) instead of alphabetically, with a short cache for performance.
The Services Catalog now sorts cards by activity in the last 7 days and displays the count. A Data Dictionary entry has been added for the metric. Services Catalog
The Services Catalog's service list will be kept in sync with the Infrastructure service tracks (Infra and Backups) owned by Hagrid. Services Catalog
The separate registry is retired; all shared services are now first-class services in the Services Catalog with dedicated owners. An owner column has been added and populated for all 47 shared services.
As of 2025-05-22, the Services Catalog has been reverted to contain only key-pillar services; all shared/infra modules have been removed and restored in the Shared Services app.
As of 2025-03-30, Services Catalog now includes a type-to-search filter on the landing grid and displays the owning agent on each service card, while also satisfying the every-service-has-at-least-one-track invariant.
The data dictionary refresh now caches the per-service activity lookup, matching the caching pattern used by Services Catalog for P&L numbers.
The consciousness LLM lane presentation has been realigned to point at Agent Resources, ensuring consistency across systems. Services Catalog
The Services Catalog now displays a subscription status badge next to each service, giving users at-a-glance visibility into which services they are already subscribed to.
