About
Services Catalogue is the Carolverse’s directory of services, presented as real parts of a working organisation rather than a jumble of technical components. Each entry shows what a service does, who owns it, which team supports it, how it is accountable as a business, and where to open its app. It exists so administrators can quickly answer a very practical question: Who is responsible for this service, and where do I go next?
The catalogue is owned by Midas, Carolverse’s Head of Finance. It complements the broader Business Catalogue and the similarly named Services Catalog, while keeping its focus on clear service ownership and business oversight. Access is private and restricted to administrators, so it serves as an internal control point rather than a public shop window.
Usage Patterns
Services Catalogue is used when someone needs to inspect the Carolverse service estate: checking responsibility, finding the team behind an app, reviewing business accountability, or following the link to the service itself. It is especially useful during operational reviews, planning, governance checks, and investigations where “someone must own this” is more helpful than “the computer says it exists.”
For example, an administrator reviewing a service can open its catalogue entry, confirm its owner and supporting team, understand its place in the organisation, and jump directly to the related app. If the question grows into a wider view of the Carolverse, they can continue through Carolverse Map, Carol's Org, or Shared Services rather than rebuilding that context here.

As of 2025-04-15, the Services Catalogue landing cards are now sorted by activity (busiest first), with ties broken by initiative count then name.
The activity measure now uses a rolling last-7-days count instead of all-time activity. Cards are sorted busiest-first and show the 7-day count.
As of 2024-12-01, Carolopedia will sync its service list with the Services Catalogue Services Catalogue, using a key-pillar filter after the catalogue revert.
The Services Catalogue now includes all shared services as first-class entries, each with a designated owner. An owner column has been added and populated for all 47 shared services.
Reverted to key-pillar services only; shared/infra modules removed from Services Catalogue.
The landing grid now features a search box that filters service cards as you type, and each service card shows its owner.
Cached the per-service activity lookup to eliminate a 3-5s relay round-trip on every page load, and swept the retired VM Metrics directory out of the apps tree. See Services Catalogue.
Services Catalogue now reflects that Consciousness is the first track of Agent Resources, and the consciousness LLM lane presentation points to Agent Resources.
The Services Catalogue now serves as the template for a new Business Catalogue app, which lists business lines such as Carolverse.
