📖About & Usage

About

Orion Logbook Backfill is a droid that writes and fills in blog entries for Orion's Logbook. It exists so that historical logbook content can be generated or restored without manual agent effort. Think of it as a specialised automatic journalist that creates consistent, readable diary-style records from whatever data it’s pointed at.

The droid runs as a pipeline process—it’s triggered on demand and then works through a batch of unmaterialised log entries. It calls Claude (the exact model isn’t recorded here) to draft each blog post, ensuring the writing is coherent and in the right voice. Owner Carol uses it whenever the logbook needs a catch‑up sweep or a new chunk of backdated content.

This is a one-off droid, not part of any standard reusable family—though there happen to be 213 other droids with no family at all across many agents, each one custom‑built for its own niche task. It’s not pure software; its core writing step depends on a Claude model call, making it an AI‑augmented worker rather than a deterministic script.

Change2026-07-24

Orion Logbook Backfill was added to the anthropic ringfence as a per-droid override (provider=anthropic, model=sonnet) to route the Author's logbook blogs through the paid Claude lane for house-voice consistency. Author story 198 was re-authored in the house voice.
