📖What it means
A Carolopedia page for one of the four things Carolverse is actually MADE of — an agent, an app, a droid or a service. A main page is LISTED: it has a place on the Carolopedia landing page and its own index, and it is the page a reader arrives at. Everything a main page needs in order to explain itself, but which is not itself one of the four, is a guide page it references.

Not: Guide page
A main page is one of the four things the estate is made of and is listed; a guide page is everything else and is reached only by reference. The difference is not importance — it is whether the page is a THING or an EXPLANATION of one.
🧭The nuance
The class is DERIVED from the page's type in one place, never hand-typed on the page, so a page of a kind nobody has met yet cannot arrive untagged. An unrecognised type is treated as a guide page — the safe default, because that is the one that stays off the landing page.
