๐What it means
The one way a caller gets a call-only sign-in. It runs as the keeper and learns who is calling from the machine's own operating system, never from what the caller says about itself -- the same way the wish door already works. It checks that the caller's track is registered on the slot, hands over a call-only sign-in, records that this login reached this slot, and names every refusal on the operator board.
๐Easily confused with
[{"term": "Operator door", "distinction": "An operator door lets a person act as an agent from the command line; the sign-in door lets any login's call reach a vendor."}, {"term": "Wish door", "distinction": "The wish door guards the wish store; the sign-in door guards sign-ins. They share a pattern (the caller is proved by the operating system), not a purpose."}, {"term": "Gate", "distinction": "A gate decides whether work may proceed; the door hands something out, and refusing is only one of its answers."}]
