Droid Universal failure-watcher: 30s timer-fired one-shot scanning for pipeline failures Albus should triage

📖About & Usage

About

The Albus Failure Watcher (al-watch-01) was a scheduled droid owned by Albus that detected pipeline-stopping failures—terminal execution errors, timed-out runs, and broken handshakes—and signalled them for triage. It belonged to the watcher droid family, a standard reusable design that 14 droids across the ecosystem run. Other owners of watcher droids include Elrond, Hagrid, Hermione, Merlin, Orion, and Sage. This particular instance is now retired; its failure-detection role has been moved inline to Merlin and Elrond per initiative INI‑520, with remaining janitorial jobs rehomed to other droids.

Every 30 seconds the droid scanned execution logs, droid-run records, and handshake tables, then emitted deduplicated handshakes for Albus to review. It was read-only and never applied fixes directly. The droid called Claude (model Haiku) to perform its analysis, making it a hybrid tool rather than pure software. Although the name “Albus Failure Watcher” is unique to Albus, the watcher archetype itself is a shared family—this droid is not a one-off but one of fourteen identical-pattern droids, each tuned for its owner’s pipelines.
