How much a candidate thought would change what an agent does next — the score specialists attach when competing for the Global Workspace. Salience is CAUSAL INFLUENCE, not importance-in-the-abstract and not how often something has been mentioned. A blocked build scores far above a quiet memory.

Not: Frequency
Frequency counts how often a concept appears; salience estimates how much its presence changes the next action. Ranking by frequency is what the Jacobian Space does.
