📖Nuance

Before 2026-09-24 this entry was the whole meaning of 'the core': "The parts of the build machinery that are root-owned and locked at the operating-system level. The only way in is the core-install lane, with operator approval. A core install is a cost, not a badge: if an unprotected chokepoint will do the job, use it instead." Ninad then ruled that core names everything protected from the operators (Rulings Repo security #113), so this entry is the build-machinery part of it.
