πŸ“–About & Usage

About

Session Induction is a private start-of-session dashboard for Orion – Deputy Admin. It exists to answer three practical questions before Orion begins work: What should be read? What has been handed over? Is everything healthy enough to proceed? Bringing those answers together gives each session a clear starting point and reduces the chance that unfinished business, important context, or a warning sign slips through the cracks.

The dashboard is divided into Documents, Handover, and Health Check. Documents presents the material relevant to the session. Handover highlights context and responsibilities carried forward from earlier work. Health Check provides a quick view of whether the surrounding Carol ecosystem appears ready. Session Induction is not a public Carol app: access requires authentication, and its scope is limited to Orion’s private work.

Usage Patterns

Session Induction is used when Orion starts a new working session. It acts like a cockpit checklist: brief enough to scan quickly, but structured enough to encourage a deliberate start. It may also be revisited during a session when Orion needs to confirm what was handed over or recheck the current operating picture.

For example, Orion might begin the day by opening Session Induction, reviewing the listed documents, reading a handover note about work already in progress, and checking for any health warning. If everything looks sound, the session can begin with shared context already in view. If something looks unusual, Orion has an early signal to investigate through the relevant Carol app, such as Carol Monitor or Orion's Logbook, before continuing.

Dated notes from recent initiatives β€” the main entry above is not rewritten.

Change2026-07-26

Session Induction (Session Induction) is now owned by the Constitution service (Constitution).

Fix2026-07-03

Session Induction had a registry row with an unresolvable public URL (Blueprint) and a duplicate port. The public-URL pipeline now enforces validation and dedup; update the app's URL to a reachable address.

πŸ—‚οΈTabs & Screens

Tab inventory is being built β€” see CAROL-INI-077 step 7.
