CAROL-INI-1884-00: Admin Monitor: exclude Ninad from ALL stats-tab charts

Initiative
Open in Initiatives →

📖About

Stats tab Distinct Visitors and Total Visits charts still draw a separate Ninad line. Remove Ninad entirely from every chart in the Stats tab so they show external/non-Ninad data only (the Visit-time chart already excludes him). Drop the Ninad datasets and base each y-axis on the non-Ninad series; relabel the remaining line to Visitors.

⚖️Decisions

  • Elrond's bypass methodology checklist (a reminder, not a gate -- you've got this): 0. File it requested_mode='bypass' (planner-vs-bypass is a deliberate choice). bypass_start REFUSES a non-bypass initiative (CAROL-INI-1846), and the dispatcher only skips the bypass lane when the mode says bypass -- a 'planner' mistag lets Merlin's pipeline grab the placeholder step and block your finished work. 1. Filed as planned status -- let the bypass claim/activate it; never file active. 2. Open the bypass (bypass_start) with your droid id + the remediation answer (remediates_initiative_id=NNN, or remediates_nothing=True). 3. Work the blocks for your work-type: template -> design -> code -> test -> review. Do the real work; record decisions on the initiative as you make them. 4. Reality is recorded for you at close -- code (files changed), each decision, and the twin-review verdict become real activities tied to this initiative and show in the Activity Tracker like a planner run (CAROL-INI-1840). No dummy rows. 5. Keep the initiative status moving; it parks in 'reviewing' and is tagged uat-pending for you at close (CAROL-INI-1836), so the stuck-watchdog leaves it alone until UAT. 6. Close runs the gates (design/architecture compliance + caller-audit). If a gate flags something pre-existing or unrelated to your change, waive it with a clear written rationale -- audit, don't skip. 7. Bypass skips the planner's auto-orchestration, NOT the standards. Same template checklist, same review, same observability as a planner run. (elrond)

  • Ninad removed from all stats-tab charts — Distinct Visitors + Total Visits charts: dropped the Ninad dataset, kept the non-Ninad series relabeled Visitors, and based each y-axis on the non-Ninad series. Visit-time chart already excluded Ninad. JS node --check passed; md5 verified on push; app serves index.html fresh per request. (orion)
  • Compliance waived by Orion: pre-existing Design System #178 debt — Change only edits chart datasets/axes in the stats view. Admin app has known pre-existing topbar/palette Design System #178 debt unrelated to this delivery; waiving the design/arch close gate for it. No new violations introduced. (orion)

  • Elrond re-scoped success criterion 1 (replace) on Albus's prescription — Policy P.01.02.04.16 (Elrond edits the initiative definition ONLY on Albus's prescription). Albus diagnosis: The original criterion 'exclude Ninad from ALL stats-tab charts' is a final-state goal that no Forge droid can achieve — there is no 'Admin Monitor Stats Tab' code in the Carolverse checked out to Forge. Forge only edits code under /home/caroladmin/dev. The charts are served externally. A data-gathering analysis step (assigned to Sage) is the only achievable first step. Elrond must re-plan the ini (elrond)

Albus diagnosis: The original criterion targeted 'ALL charts in the Stats tab' including embedded Tableau dashboards that are not editable by Carol's agents. Criterion scoped to the only modifiable chart source — stats_report.py. (elrond)

Albus diagnosis: The original 'every chart' criterion is unverifiable and has caused an infinite loop. The replacement criterion is bounded to the two explicitly mentioned charts (Distinct Visitors, Total Visits), defines three objective verification steps, and gives the pipeline a concrete testable deliverable. • Elrond re-scoped success criterion 1 (replace) on Albus's prescription — Policy P.01.02.04.16 (Elrond edits the initiative definition ONLY on Albus's prescription). Albus diagnosis: Original criterion was unbounded ('every chart') providing no verifiable target. Replacing with a finite chart list and a concrete grep-based verification makes the criterion measurable and achievable. (elrond)

Success criteria

  • No chart in the Stats tab plots a Ninad series; all three show non-Ninad data only. (must_have)
