About
Elrond's Wellbeing Monitor is a daily droid that keeps Elrond's supervisory duties honest. Beyond collecting status reports, it checks that each of Elrond's direct reports is active, correctly enabled, and actually doing its work — catching agents that have gone quiet, been disabled, or stopped performing before they turn into unnoticed failures.
It runs once a day through a shared, agent-blind mechanism, `wellbeing_monitor.run_for('agt_011')`, which the monitor droid family reuses for every owner. When the check finds problems, it files one initiative per run (tracked in Carol Initiatives), so issues land with Elrond as a visible escalation rather than a buried log line. This droid belongs to the standard monitor droid family, which 12 droids run on behalf of Arwen, Aurora, Cassius, Clara, Galadriel, Merlin, Rhea, Odin, Noah, and Leo. The exact name "Elrond's Wellbeing Monitor" is unique to Elrond, but the underlying family is a shared, reusable pattern documented in Droid Families.
Engine-wise, this droid is pure software: the source makes no calls to Claude. All checks and escalations happen in code, so it runs without spending model tokens.
