About

Cassius's Wellbeing Monitor is a scheduled droid that runs once a day to check that the agents who report to Cassius are active, correctly enabled, and actually doing their work. It exists to give Cassius a supervisor's view that goes beyond simple status summaries: it catches quiet failures, disabled accounts, or stalls before they become problems.

It works through a shared, agent-blind mechanism โ€” the same `wellbeing_monitor.run_for('agt_009')` routine used by other owners โ€” so it treats every report the same way regardless of who they are. When it finds an issue, it files a single initiative via the Carol Initiatives app for that run, escalating the problem to Elrond, who handles the resolution.

The name "Cassius's Wellbeing Monitor" is unique, but the droid itself is not a one-off: it is one of twelve droids in the monitor family, and several other agents run the same kind of monitor for their own reports (see Droid Families). It is pure software โ€” no Claude calls โ€” so it runs entirely on its own schedule without language-model involvement.
