The Security Review Gate (vidar-review-gate-01) is a build-time security droid owned by Vidar. Its job is to vet every change for security flaws before it ships. It exists to catch vulnerabilities — in code, configuration, or infrastructure — at the build stage, so insecure changes are flagged or blocked before they ever reach production.

It's a triggered droid, not a scheduled one: it has no fixed run time and activates whenever a change is submitted for release. Working alongside the Security service, it reviews each proposed change against security requirements and acts as a gate that must be passed before anything ships. It complements the broader Audit & Compliance and Vigilance services.

The droid is unique: there is exactly one Security Review Gate, and only Vidar runs it. It falls under the "(none)" family bucket in the registry, a catch-all that contains 222 droids across the ecosystem — but that bucket is for custom one-offs, not a reusable family, so no other agent runs a copy of it. Its execution engine isn't recorded yet, so it's not known from the registry whether it's pure software or calls Claude.
