Template Matcher finds the closest reusable template or design pattern for a described task. It exists so its owner, Archon, can encourage reuse and prevent inconsistent patterns from being created unnecessarily.

On demand, it searches the existing catalog and template library, calling Claude for semantic matching. It returns the best match, a similarity score, required adaptations, and a recommendation to reuse, combine, or create patterns. The Claude model is unspecified. It only reports findings; it cannot create, change, or deploy anything.

Template Matcher’s exact name is unique, but it belongs to the standard intelligence family, which has 25 droids run across several agents. Thus, it is a uniquely named member of a reusable family—not a one-off—and it is not pure software because it calls Claude.
