About
App Steward is a small automated caretaker droid owned by Hermione. It keeps Hermione's registered apps alive: on a scheduled basis it checks each app, detects any that have gone down, and relaunches them using the shared `app_steward.py` mechanism. It exists so silent downtime does not happen without someone noticing or acting.
This droid is one instance of the broadly used app-steward family described in Droid Families. It is not unique: 19 droids in this family are currently run across many Carol agents, and there are 18 exact-name copies of "App Steward" operated by other owners. This instance is scoped only to Hermione's apps.
It is pure software. Its source makes no calls to Claude, so there is no model or Claude purpose recorded for it. Its work is scheduled rather than continuous, waking up on a timer to run its liveness checks and restarts.
