About
App Steward is an automated droid owned by Clara. It exists to keep the apps registered to Clara alive: it detects when one of them has gone down and relaunches it using the shared app-steward mechanism (`shared/app_steward.py`). This helps avoid small service outages lingering until someone notices.
It runs as a scheduled process scoped to Clara's own apps. It is one of 18 exact-name copies of "App Steward" in the Carolverse, and the app-steward family has 19 members run by multiple Carol agents, so this is not a one-off droid. The family is documented under Droid Families.
The droid is pure software — no Claude calls were found in its source, so it does not use a Claude model or depend on Claude for its liveness checks.
