About
App Steward is the droid that keeps Carol's apps alive. On a scheduled basis it checks each app registered to Carol, and if any has stopped responding it relaunches it from a shared app-steward script. It exists so a silently crashed app doesn't sit dead until someone happens to notice.
It works by calling the shared app-liveness mechanism in `shared/app_steward.py`, scoped to Carol's own registered app list. The droid belongs to the app-steward family described in Droid Families and relies on Shared Services infrastructure rather than custom code.
This is not a unique droid: it is one of 19 app-steward droids (18 exact-name copies besides this one) run by agents such as Archon, Argus, and Clara to watch over their own apps. It is pure software: the source contains no Claude calls, so it runs without any model involvement.
