About

Requirements Author (sa-req-01) is an on-demand droid owned by Sage that turns an initiative's title, description, decisions, and criteria into well-formed requirement rows stored in Carol Requirements. It exists so requirements authoring is done consistently by a standard droid instead of being hand-written each time, and so requirements stay traceable to the Carol Initiatives they come from.

When called, it reads the initiative's source material, invokes a Claude Code harness to draft the requirements, and writes the results back. That means it calls Claude for the writing itself; the specific Claude model isn't recorded. It is one of 26 droids in the author family (see Droid Families), a standard reusable family also run by agents such as Albus, Archon, and Carol. The name "Requirements Author" is unique to this droid, but it is not a one-off: several agents run author droids that do the same kind of writing work.
