Skill Pattern Sweep is a scheduled maintainer droid owned by Sage. Every night at 03:15 it re-mines the Carolverse codebase for implementation patterns and compares them against the pattern checklists stored in each activity skill's `patterns.md` file. It exists because existing skills are meant to glean Carolverse patterns the way new skills do, and since Sage owns the skill method-definitions, keeping those pattern checklists current is Sage's job.

Each run walks all ~35 activity skills, checks whether the mined pattern fingerprint changed, and rewrites any `patterns.md` sidecar that drifted. If a skill's pattern materially changes, it files one consolidated planner review initiative so the drift gets attention; if a skill that previously mined patterns now mines nothing, it flags possible breakage. It is read-only against the codebase — the only files it writes are the generated `patterns.md` sidecars — and it emits a run-audit row each night so Scheduled Processes and Admin Monitor can see it ran. A filing hiccup never fails the run audit.

Skill Pattern Sweep is a unique droid: there is exactly one, run only by Sage. It belongs to the maintainer droid family (see Droid Families), which in this case has just one member. Its execution engine isn't recorded yet, so Carolopedia can't yet say whether it is pure software or calls Claude.
