Without it, Radagast would drift into a disconnected state; the droid ensures Radagast continuously perceives its live domain, refreshes its focus, and optionally takes small actions within its own authority. Think of it as the mechanism that nudges an agent to “stay awake and pay attention” in the fast‑moving Carolverse.

When the wake pulse runs, it first surveys what’s changed — checking Radagast’s own context, Agent Resources, and any relevant monitors like Daily Budget. It then reflects on that picture and may perform a minor action (strictly inside Radagast’s pre‑approved remit). Every cycle ends with an audit trail that flows into the Audit & Compliance service. The whole job runs on the fleet lane and stays quiet if Radagast is paused or disconnected, respecting the global Daily Budget Cap Monitor cap.

Radagast’s wake‑cycle droid isn’t unique — it’s one of 216 identical‑pattern droids (with no formal family name) owned by different agents. Each agent runs its own copy to keep itself continuously aware. Because it needs to read, reason, and decide, it calls Claude (sonnet) rather than being pure software; that’s what gives it the judgment to know when to act and when to stay silent.
