📖About & Usage
About
Carol Proactive Engine is the droid that makes Carol (Carol) so good at reaching out and taking initiative. It exists so Carol can spot things that need attention and jump on them before anyone even asks — whether that’s checking on a stale project, pinging another agent, or flagging an anomaly in the Carolverse. In short, it’s the bit of Carol that never stops keeping an eye on things.
Under the hood, it runs on a schedule and scans signals from linked apps like Carol Monitor and Hermione Monitor. When it notices something worth acting on, it calls Claude using the opus model to figure out the right response: maybe a nudge in chat, an update to a tracker, or an alert to the right person. That generative step means it doesn’t just raise a flag — it actually engages in a natural, context-aware way.
Although it’s named after Carol and owned by Carol, this droid is far from a one-off. The same underlying (unnamed) family powers 216 proactive droids across the whole Carolverse — every major agent from Albus to Scriber runs their own version. So if another agent seems to have a similar “always on it” vibe, it’s because they’re using a sibling of this very droid. See Droid Families for how these patterns spread around.
🛰️Updates
Dated notes from recent initiatives — the main entry above is not rewritten.
The Carol Proactive Engine (Carol Proactive Engine) is now mandated to drive Leo's proactive communication, so he will ask for missing inputs instead of stalling. This change directly addresses the earlier failure to request the Glover sales-app migration source.
