About

PP-S1 (the Pre-Approval Processor) is a droid owned by Merlin. Its job is to turn approved plan prerequisites into real, trackable database tasks. When the planning droid SP-01 approves a plan that contains prerequisites, those prerequisites only become useful once they exist as executable tasks โ€” that is what PP-S1 does. It bridges the gap between plan intent and actual work.

When triggered, PP-S1 reads the prerequisites from the approved plan output, creates each one as a task in the plan database with the correct checklist type, generates task IDs so the tasks can be tracked and referenced, deduplicates so the same prerequisite is never created twice, and logs its work for Merlin to review. It deliberately does not do more: SP-01 does the planning, PV-S1 validates the prerequisite structure, sequencing droids decide ordering, and other droids dispatch and execute the work. PP-S1 only turns approved prerequisites into database records.

PP-S1 is one of 14 droids in the planner family, a standard reusable droid-family run by Merlin and Elrond and documented in Droid Families. Its exact name, Pre-Approval Processor, is unique โ€” no other droid is an exact-name copy. It is pure software: its source makes no Claude calls, so no model is involved in running it.
