User Profiler is a droid that helps Carol learn more about her users without ever making it feel like a questionnaire. Its job is to spot what’s missing from a user’s profile – name, location, interests, social links – and turn that gap into a casual conversation prompt, so Carol can naturally draw out the detail in chat. It only works with guest and unverified users, and it never suggests directly asking for the information.
The droid runs on a daily schedule at 10:00 (and checks for new gaps every hour), storing short-lived tips in the user’s settings that expire after 48 hours. It does not send WhatsApp messages itself – its tips are pure prompts for Carol to weave into conversation on her terms. It also skips creating tips if Carol already has strong hunches about the user, and deliberately avoids sensitive subjects like religion, politics, money, or sexuality.
User Profiler is a one-off, uniquely named droid within the larger “author” family – that family powers 26 similar droids across agents like Albus, Archon, and others, but this specific User Profiler belongs only to Carol. It is not pure software: it calls Claude (model not specified) to turn each profile gap into that friendly, one-sentence suggestion that keeps the chat feeling human.
