📖About & Usage

About

The Order Status Notifier keeps customers automatically informed about their orders by watching for changes and sending them a message on WhatsApp the moment something updates. It exists so that Carol can handle high volumes of customer communication without having to personally ping every person — the droid runs continuously in the background, making sure no status change goes unreported.

It works by polling Chowpatty droid_triggers every 30 seconds for any order_status_changed event. When one appears, the droid immediately fires off a WhatsApp notification to the relevant customer via the Agent Chat service. This happens entirely in software — there are no calls to Claude or any language model; it’s a pure automation that just acts on the events it sees.

This droid is one of 30 worker‑family droids used across the Carolverse. Agents like Albus, Clara, Elrond, Forge, Galadriel, Hagrid, Merlin, Orion, Sage, Themis, Radagast, Noah, and Leo all run their own worker droids in the same family, each tuned to a specific repetitive task. The Order Status Notifier is unique — no other agent has an exact copy with this name — and its job is strictly to relay notifications, never to create, modify, or cancel orders itself.
