πAbout & Usage
About
Carol Router is a proactive action router that automatically directs tasks and events where they need to go across the Carolverse. Think of it as a smart traffic controller β it keeps work flowing smoothly without someone having to manually push things along. It exists to make sure that when something needs attention, the right agent or service gets the right nudge at the right time.
Itβs pure software, meaning it runs entirely on logic and rules β no Carol calls to Claude or any other language model. The routing decisions are entirely deterministic. Carol Router is owned by Carol, but sheβs not the only one with a droid like this. It belongs to an unnamed standard family of routing droids β 213 of them are scattered across the organisation, each with a unique name but the same core routing job, used by almost every agent from Albus to Scriber.
Because itβs one of many identical-purpose droids with different names, itβs not a one-off β itβs part of a reusable pattern Carol built so every agent can have its own dedicated action router. If you need to understand how things connect behind the scenes, this droid is a good place to start looking.
π°οΈUpdates
Dated notes from recent initiatives β the main entry above is not rewritten.
The PA-C12 Service Router has been upgraded from keyword-match routing to a Claude Haiku-backed decision engine that considers user message, history, inferences, and service manifests. The route() interface remains unchanged, but routing quality should improve significantly.
