About

Memory Manager (mm-01) is Carol's memory system: it stores and retrieves everything Carol learns about customers — preferences, conversation history, and important details — so that when she's talking to someone through Carol Chat, she already has the background she needs to engage effectively. It exists because a conversational agent is only useful if it remembers people between visits.

MM-01 manages user memory and context in a deliberately simple way. It stores customer information and conversation history, retrieves relevant details when Carol needs them mid-interaction, updates its memories with new information, and keeps it all organized. By design it never infers new facts, never decides what to remember or forget, and never acts on customer data beyond storage and retrieval. It's embedded in Carol's processes and doesn't run on its own schedule.

The droid is owned by Carol, and the name "Memory Manager" is unique — no other agent runs this exact copy. That said, it isn't a one-off: it belongs to the intelligence droid family, a standard reusable family that 25 droids across agents including Albus, Archon, Athena, Elrond, Galadriel and others also run. MM-01 is not pure software: it calls Claude (model opus) for the language work of managing user memory and context.
