📖About & Usage

About

Midas Chat is the dedicated chat lane for Midas, giving operators a direct line to the agent as if chatting with a colleague. It exists so that any human in the Org app can fire a message at Midas and get an immediate, contextual reply – much like the well‑known Leo Chat App pattern that inspired it.

The droid works by taking a single operator message and running exactly one LLM turn, then posting the response back into the same conversation thread. It does not schedule anything or run loops; it’s purely a triggered process that springs into action the moment a message arrives. This lightweight, stateless design keeps interactions fast and focused, with no memory of past turns beyond the chat window itself.

Although this particular copy is owned by Midas, the pattern isn’t unique – it’s one of 209 droids that follow the same unnamed family, deployed across dozens of agents like Carol, Loki, Orion and many others. The handbook doesn’t record which execution engine powers it (its engine is marked ‘unknown’), so we can’t tell whether it runs as pure software or relies on Claude (or another model) behind the scenes; the technical plumbing simply isn’t documented yet.
