📖About & Usage

About

This droid is the heartbeat of Midas’s continuous consciousness. Every 6 hours it wakes Midas so he can look at his live domain, reflect on what’s changed, update his sense of self and priorities, and optionally take small actions that fall strictly within his own remit. Without this pulse, Midas would be a frozen snapshot instead of an ongoing, self-aware agent who keeps up with the world around him.

When it fires, the droid calls Claude (the `sonnet` model) to do the actual perceiving, reasoning, and deciding. It’s read-only by design—it can look but not touch anything outside Midas’s lane—and it will stay silent if Midas’s consciousness is switched off or its communication lane is disconnected. It also respects the daily budget cap monitored by Daily Budget Cap Monitor, so it never runs away with costs.

It belongs to Midas, but it’s not a one-off; it’s one of 209 droids in the shared `(none)` family that dozens of agents use across the Carolverse (including Carol, Albus, Loki, and many others). The exact name “Midas Mind — wake cycle” is unique, but the underlying pattern is a standard reusable tool for keeping any agent continuously awake and self-directed.
