Registry Collapse Guard is a watcher droid that automatically recovers the Carolverse’s central data registry from sudden corruption or collapse. It exists to catch catastrophic failures—such as a missing core table, a massive drop in data, or an outright vanished file—and restore a working state within minutes, minimizing disruption to every process that depends on the registry.

Every 10 minutes, the droid compares the live registry against a last-good manifest. If it detects a collapse (empty or missing core tables, a row count drop of more than 50%, or the file itself gone), it immediately quarantines the bad copy for forensic analysis, restores the registry from the last-known-good backup, and raises a critical alert. This self-healing cycle means even an unmonitored collapse gets fixed before most downstream workflows notice.

Registry Collapse Guard is owned by Hagrid and is a unique droid—no other agent runs an identical copy. It belongs to the watcher family, which is used by 14 droids across several agents (including Albus, Clara, Elrond, Hagrid, Hermione, Merlin, Orion, Sage, and others), but each watcher has a different job. Its execution engine is not recorded yet, so it’s unknown whether it runs purely as software or calls an external model like Claude.
