About

Registry Backup (hg-regbak-01) is a scheduled droid owned by Hagrid whose job is to keep Carol's registry crown-jewel recoverable. Every six hours it takes a rolling snapshot of registry.db, so that even if the live database gets clobbered, the last good snapshot survives and can never be overwritten. It exists precisely for that worst case: a corrupted or collapsed registry must not destroy the recovery path.

It works by using SQLite's online-backup API to copy the database while it's live, independently of any relay. It refuses to snapshot a stub or collapsed registry, and it writes the last-good manifest that the Collapse Guard later uses as its baseline. Registry Backup is the only droid in the backup family currently running — family size is one — and it belongs solely to Hagrid; its name is unique rather than a shared template other agents run. Its execution engine isn't recorded yet (no source has been located), so the detected engine is unknown — nothing is confirmed about whether it runs as pure software or calls Claude.
