Laptop Copy Export

Droid Each morning prepares the Carol part of the laptop copy in one folder under Hagrid's own login -- the estate's databases with SQLite's own backup, the initiatives store through Elrond's daemon, the constitution, every login's staged crontab and the tracked source -- each item renamed into place, a failed item removed, and a manifest written last. The laptop pulls that folder read-only through its own locked login.

📖About

Laptop Copy Export is a droid that prepares material for a laptop backup.

📖Usage

It supports the estate’s scheduled backup work by preparing material before the laptop copies it.

📖Purpose

The machine half of the laptop copy (backup-laptop, design 153 layer 1): the laptop only pulls, so no morning job logs in as a login a person enters or carries a password (backup #141, security #138).

📖Duties

- Prepare every item the laptop copy keeps of Carol, every morning before the laptop's pull
- Remove an item that failed, so a failed morning is never pulled as a good one
- Write the manifest last, naming what this run produced

📖Constraints

Never copies user conversation histories or media (design 153; they reach the laptop read-only without passing through Hagrid's login). Never takes anything from the off-site copy. Does not judge its own freshness.
