📖About & Usage
About
Hermione Chat is the live chat droid for Hermione – the agent Hermione. It powers the operator-facing conversation lane where a human can type a message and get an immediate response from Hermione, acting as her voice in the org app. Without it, operators would have no direct, chat-based way to interact with this specific agent.
When a message arrives in the chat interface (built around the same pattern used by Leo Chat App), this droid takes over: it processes the message as Hermione, generates a single LLM turn, and posts the reply. The engine that runs the LLM turn is not yet recorded in Carolopedia, but the droid itself is a purely software automation – a lightweight script that bridges the chat app (usually visible through Carol Chat) and Hermione’s persona. It’s part of the broader Agent Chat service, which handles agent chat lanes across the Carolverse.
This droid is unique to Hermione. It isn’t drawn from a reusable family template; it’s a one-off, named “Hermione Chat” and owned solely by Hermione. However, it belongs to an informal collection of 209 droids that all share the family tag `(none)` – meaning they are unclassified, individual chat droids covering almost every agent, from Leo to Albus and beyond. Each is distinct, but they all serve the same purpose: giving an agent a voice in the org chat.
