📖About & Usage

About

The Guardian Mind — wake cycle droid is the scheduled heartbeat that keeps the Guardian agent continuously self-aware. Every six hours it triggers a wake pulse, allowing Guardian to perceive its live domain, refresh its internal focus, and optionally take action inside its own remit. Without this droid, Guardian would lapse into a passive state; the recurring pulse ensures the agent remains present, informed, and ready to respond.

On each run the droid reads Guardian’s current environment in a read-only fashion, then uses Claude (Sonnet) to reflect on what it sees, update its self-model, and decide whether any initiative falls strictly within its authority. If so, it may act directly. The droid respects several safeguards: it stays silent when Guardian’s consciousness is switched off or its lane is disconnected, and all its Claude calls stay-monitor">Daily Budget Cap Monitor cap applied to the consciousness budget.

This droid is unique — it is not part of a reusable family that multiple agents run the same way. It is owned by Guardian and exists solely for that agent. Although it belongs to no named droid family, it shares that “unfamilied” status with 209 other droids across nearly every agent in the Carolverse. It is not pure software; it calls Claude (Sonnet) to perform the perception and reflection that make the wake cycle intelligent rather than a fixed script.
