About
Stale-Review Auto-Closer is a scheduled clean-up droid owned by Elrond. Its job is to keep Orion's review queue from piling up: if an initiative that Orion started has been sitting in "reviewing" for more than two days, the droid treats that as a no-objection and closes it on Orion's behalf through the sanctioned sign-off event, so the normal close-hooks still run. It exists so stale reviews don't silently block progress while waiting for someone who never objects.
Every day at 03:30 (see Scheduled Processes) it sweeps for Orion-initiated Carol Initiatives still in the reviewing state and older than two days. For each one, it does not raw-write the status: it routes the item to closed through the status router using the operator_signoff event and an audited reason, then emits a droid_runs audit row every run (part of the Audit & Compliance service). It is deliberately narrow โ it only touches items requested by Orion, never touches other initiatives, and follows the CAROL-INI-1853 rule.
Stale-Review Auto-Closer is a one-off, not a member of a reusable droid family: its exact name is unique, and no other droid does this job, though it is one of 222 standalone droids in the ecosystem grouped under "family: none". It is pure software โ its source contains no Claude calls, so it runs without a language model.
