It acts as a checkpoint in the development pipeline, ensuring that changes meet security requirements before they can move forward. Its existence keeps Elrond’s workflows safe by catching issues early, without requiring constant manual oversight.

This droid runs as part of a pipeline, triggered automatically when a new change passes a certain stage. During its evaluation it reviews the request against defined security rules and either passes or blocks the change. Its exact execution engine is not recorded yet, so it is currently unknown whether the droid is pure software or calls Claude for its reasoning.

The Elrond Security Gate Droid is a one-off – it is not part of a standardized droid family that other agents reuse.
