About
The Mileage Improvement Engine is an automated worker that helps Elrond keep the Mileage measure on track. Its job is to check the latest mileage reading every week, and if the number overshoots the target it files exactly one fix request into the Carol Initiatives service as a pipeline-efficiency improvement. The droid exists so the team doesn’t have to remember to react to bad mileage numbers — it reacts automatically, but only once per problem, avoiding duplicate work.
It wakes up on a schedule (every Monday at 05:45) and looks at the Mileage data, gated by an enable flag in the RSI data. When the value is worse than the target, it creates a single, deduplicated planner-mode improvement and also emits a run-audit signal so the activity gets logged for later review. The droid belongs to Elrond, who is the owner and the only agent running this particular measurer family — there are two measurer droids in total, both under Elrond.
Because the droid’s execution engine hasn’t been recorded yet in the registry, it’s not known whether it runs as pure software or calls Claude. If it did call an AI model, that detail would be added here later — for now, its inner workings are a black box from the engine perspective, but its scheduled behaviour is well-defined.
