📖About & Usage

About

Compass is an automated maintenance droid that quietly fixes routine issues across Carol’s applications before anyone notices them. It exists to handle the repetitive, low-level repairs that would otherwise demand the attention of Sentinel, so that Sentinel can focus on harder problems and strategic improvements. By running early each morning at 4:00 AM, Compass catches and resolves common faults on its own, keeping the ecosystem stable and reducing downtime.

Technically, Compass performs a daily health check on the apps maintained by Orion, identifying standard failures and applying pre‑defined fixes without human intervention. It doesn’t make architectural decisions or approve new features — only known, scripted repairs are executed. Its findings are then reported back to inform Sentinel’s broader improvement efforts, creating a feedback loop that constantly refines what Compass can handle.

Compass is owned by Sentinel and is one of many intelligence‑family droids. In fact, 25 droids of this same family operate under different agents including Carol, Athena, Sage, and others. The droid’s name is unique, but the role is standardized: every intelligence droid is another agent’s automated troubleshooter. Compass is pure software — it does not call Claude or any external AI model, relying entirely on deterministic scripts to keep things running smoothly.
