Cassius Chat is the droid that powers Cassius's direct-message experience in the operator chat app. Whenever someone sends a message to Cassius inside the Carol Chat Org interface, this droid springs to life, reads the message, and instantly writes back as Cassius—thoughtful, direct, and on-brand. It exists so every agent can have their own always-available conversational lane, making the whole organisation feel like a team of real colleagues rather than a faceless backend.

Under the hood, it works like all the other agent chat droids: one LLM turn per incoming message, following the same reliable pattern first proven by Leo Chat App. It isn't a scheduled process—it's purely trigger-based, firing only when an operator types to Cassius. Because its execution engine isn't recorded yet, we can't say for certain whether it calls Claude or runs purely as software; the technical details are still to be documented.

Though the name "Cassius Chat" is unique, this droid is not a one-off. It belongs to the same informal, unnamed family as every other agent's chat droid—187 in total, operated by Albus, Archon, Argus, and over forty others across the Carolverse. So while it speaks in Cassius's voice, it's part of a widely reused blueprint that makes the whole agent roster feel instantly approachable.
