When an operator sends a message in the Org app's chat lane, Carol Chat produces exactly one LLM turn — Carol's reply — and then waits for the next message. It exists so Carol can hold a direct, conversational back-and-forth with the person operating her, built on the same pattern pioneered by Leo Chat App (initiative CAROL-INI-3008).
It is owned by Carol and drives the Carol Chat chat lane. It has no scheduled process: each operator message triggers one turn, one reply, then it goes quiet. Though it shares its name with the Carol Chat app, the droid itself is the engine behind that chat experience.
Carol Chat is not a one-off. It is not pure software: it calls Claude to compose each reply, and the specific model used isn't recorded.
