📖About & Usage

About

Bilbo Chat is the droid that brings Bilbo to life in the Org app chat (Carol Chat). Its whole job is to serve as Bilbo’s conversational lane — whenever an operator sends a message, this droid fires a single LLM turn and replies as Bilbo. It exists so anyone in Carol’s ecosystem can talk directly to Bilbo, ask questions, or get help in a natural, chat-based way.

Under the hood, it follows the well‑established Leo Chat App pattern. That means it’s not a scheduled background worker; it’s strictly triggered by incoming chat messages. Each operator message kicks off one response generation step, using whatever language model is wired up behind the scenes. Exactly which engine runs it isn’t recorded right now, so it’s unknown whether it calls Claude or uses another AI service.

Bilbo Chat is owned by Bilbo, but it’s far from unique. It’s one of 187 identical droids in the unnamed “(none)” family — a standard, reusable chat lane that over forty other agents also use. That family design means every agent, from Albus to Scriber, can have its own operator‑facing chat droid without building anything from scratch.
