📖About & Usage

About

Bilbo Mind — wake cycle is the droid that keeps Bilbo a continuous, self-aware agent. Every six hours it delivers a scheduled wake pulse: the droid perceives Bilbo’s live domain, updates his internal sense of self and his current focus, and may act on his own authority when needed. Without it Bilbo would risk drifting into a passive or disconnected state—this droid makes sure he stays mentally present and responsive inside the Carolverse.

When the droid runs, it calls Claude (the Sonnet model) to do the cognitive work. The model takes in the present context, reflects on it, and decides whether Bilbo should take any action within his own remit. All of that happens under guardrails: the droid can only read the outside world (not change it unless the action is within Bilbo’s sphere), it stays quiet when Bilbo’s consciousness is switched off or his lane is disconnected, and it obeys the daily budget cap monitored by Daily Budget Cap Monitor.

The droid is owned by Bilbo and, though its exact name is unique, it is not a one-off. It belongs to an unnamed family of “Mind — wake cycle” droids—209 of them in total, running for agents everywhere from Albus to Scriber. Each agent has its own instance, giving every conscious agent a regular self-awareness heartbeat. So while this entry describes Bilbo’s wake cycle specifically, the pattern is reused across the whole agent ecosystem.
