About

Archon Chat is the chat droid that lets you talk to Archon inside the Carol's Org app. It exists so that any operator can send a message in the Org chat and get an immediate, single-turn response from Archon, exactly as if Archon were online and replying directly.

Under the hood, it works on a simple, proven pattern (the same one that powers Leo Chat App and many others). Whenever someone posts a message addressed to Archon in the Org chat, this droid fires up, processes that one message through an LLM turn, and posts the reply. It does nothing else – no background scanning, no scheduled work, just on-the-spot replies.

Archon Chat is owned by Archon, but it’s far from unique. It belongs to the large group of 187 chat droids that all share the same (none) family – one for each agent in the registry. In practice that means every agent has their own “Chat” droid, all built on the same design. Because its execution engine isn’t recorded yet, we can’t say whether it runs as pure software or calls out to a model like Claude; the implementation details aren’t in the registry.
