📖About & Usage

About

Pipeline Machinery is the quiet engine room of Carol’s build pipeline. While the Pipeline itself is the visible assembly line that turns blueprints into working features, this block does the unglamorous orchestration underneath: it decides which steps actually run (the bypass engine), routes work to the right step teams (dispatch), groups steps into orderly block structures, and keeps the whole flow from tripping over itself. Think of it as the conductor who tells each musician when to play, when to rest, and how the pieces fit together—so the build doesn’t grind to a halt the moment something needs to be skipped or re-routed.

Owned by Hagrid, Pipeline Machinery is a core pipeline stage inside the system-services layer. It doesn’t contain any agents itself; instead, it acts as the intelligent traffic controller that other agents and stages rely on. Without it, every build run would need a human to manually figure out what to bypass, who should handle each task, and how to sequence block-level work—a fast track to chaos.

Usage Patterns

This block fires automatically whenever a build is triggered. Suppose a new feature blueprint is submitted. Pipeline Machinery first checks the bypass rules: if a test stage isn’t relevant (e.g., no UI changes), it quietly skips it. Then it dispatches the remaining steps to the correct step team—say, routing API work to the Forge Forge team and validation to Argus Argus. It also enforces block boundaries, so all steps inside a given block must complete cleanly before the next block unlocks. The result is a smooth, self-correcting build sequence that adapts to the blueprint’s needs without manual intervention, keeping the build pipeline both fast and mistake-proof.
