About
Monitoring & Accountability is the pipeline’s watchful nervous system — it makes sure nothing gets lost between steps in Carol’s automated workflows. When one stage finishes and hands off to the next, this mandatory stage instantly checks that the handover was properly recorded and that the right app‑steward has picked it up. If a gap appears (a “handover‑gap”), it fires an alert so the right person can step in before work stalls. Think of it as a heartbeat monitor that pings whenever the baton pass wobbles. It lives inside the Pipeline and is owned by Hagrid. It is already active and runs on every pipeline execution, not just an optional add‑on.
Usage Patterns
This block fires automatically whenever a pipeline handoff occurs. For example, imagine a new feature for Carol Intelligence finishes its design phase and is meant to be picked up by the tester Argus. Monitoring & Accountability scans the pipeline log to confirm that the handoff marker exists and that Argus is listed as the responsible steward. If it finds nothing — a gap — it immediately sends a notice to Admin Monitor (the Admin Monitor) and tags the missing piece in the pipeline’s audit trail. The same process catches any orphaned tasks, double‑assigned handovers, or stewards who haven’t acknowledged their work. It works silently in the background, only raising its voice when the flow needs a nudge, keeping the whole build cycle honest and rhythm steady.
