📖About & Usage
About
Process Health Scorecard is Carol’s quick health check for the automated processes that keep her services running. Owned by Hermione, Hermione the Process Monitor, it brings every monitored service into one clear view and shows whether its processes are completing successfully. The aim is pleasantly simple: 100% healthy.
The scorecard exists because a service can appear available while an important background process is quietly failing. By gathering process results in one place, it helps Carol’s operators spot trouble early and see where attention is needed. It complements Hermione Monitor, Hermione’s broader monitoring app, and Scheduled Processes, which covers the processes expected to run on a timetable. The app is private and requires an authenticated Carol account.
Usage Patterns
The Process Health Scorecard is used during routine operational checks and whenever someone needs a fast answer to the question, “Are all our processes actually working?” It may be consulted after scheduled work runs, following a deployment recorded in Deployment Tracker, or while investigating an unusual service result. A full score means every monitored process succeeded; anything lower points toward one or more processes that need examination.
For example, an operator beginning a morning check can open the scorecard and scan the estate at a glance. If one service falls short of 100%, they can use the affected process as the starting point for investigation, consult Carol Monitor for wider system signals, and check Status Report for the current operational picture. In short, it is Carol’s “all green?” board—small, direct, and designed to make silent failures much harder to miss.
