It brings together a curated selection of places using Google Places information, then adds a district status map so readers can quickly see where each restaurant is located and how different parts of the city compare. In short, it helps turn “Where should we eat?” into a much easier decision.

Created on 27 April 2026, Prancing Pony is a user-facing app owned by Carol, Carol, the EU Sales Agent. It is private rather than publicly available: users must sign in before opening it through Carol Apps, the Carol Apps entry point. The app exists for practical local discovery, giving Carol’s authorised users a focused Frankfurt restaurant shortlist instead of asking them to sift through a city-sized pile of search results.

Usage Patterns

Prancing Pony is used when someone needs a good restaurant recommendation in Frankfurt and wants location to be part of the decision. A visitor planning dinner, for example, might open the app, review the curated choices, compare their Google Places details, and use the district map to find an appealing option near a meeting, hotel, or evening destination.

The app is especially useful for quick, human-scale questions: Which well-regarded restaurants are nearby? Which district should we explore? What looks promising without an hour of research? It does not need to “fire” as an automated process; an authorised user opens it when restaurant planning comes up. Its single worker handles those interactive visits, keeping the experience focused and pleasantly uncomplicated.
