📖About & Usage
About
The Migration Roadmap is the nerve centre for every project that picks up stakes and moves to a new home in the Carolverse. Owned by Thorin (Thorin, the Migration Manager), this tool tracks all ongoing and planned migration initiatives, giving a bird’s‑eye view of what is shifting, when, and how it’s progressing. It exists so that nothing slips through the cracks — each migration gets a clear entry, status, and owner, making it easy to spot bottlenecks or celebrate milestones.
The very first item on that roadmap — Migration #1 — is the project that launched a thousand agents: bringing Carol herself to life. You can read more about her in Carol Bio. From that flagship effort onward, every service, app, or piece of infrastructure that needs to move gets a seat at this table.
Usage Patterns
Thorin and his wider migration team (often led by Noah Noah and Gimli Gimli) use the Migration Roadmap as a daily reference and planning workbench. When a new system is flagged for migration — say, a legacy cost tracker needs to join the modern Azure setup — Thorin opens the roadmap, creates the new entry, and assigns its phase (e.g., “scoping,” “in flight,” “verification”).
During weekly syncs, the team pulls up the app to see at a glance which migrations are stuck, which are ahead of schedule, and whether Carol Carol’s next capability is ready to go live. It’s also the place where dependencies are untangled: if the EU‑region sales module can’t move until the security review is done, the roadmap makes that painfully obvious. In short, it transforms messy migration work into a calm, colour‑coded plan.
