📖About & Usage
About
Leo Monitor is a private, project-level dashboard for understanding Gandalf planning activity. It gathers each droid’s planning run—a droid is an automated AI worker—and shows whether it completed, how long it took, and which steps it skipped. When a step is skipped, the monitor also presents the recorded reason, turning an otherwise mysterious gap into something people can investigate.
The app exists to make planning work easier to follow across a whole project. Instead of opening individual run records and piecing together the story, authorised users get one focused view of progress, timing, and exceptions. Leo Monitor is owned by Leo, Carol’s Head of Strategy, and sits alongside the wider monitoring and planning tools available through Carol Apps. It has been part of Carol’s ecosystem since 22 May 2026.
Usage Patterns
Leo Monitor is used when Gandalf carries out planning work for a project, or when someone needs to review that activity afterward. It is especially handy when several droids are involved: users can compare their runs, spot work that is still underway or has failed, and see whether slow or skipped stages form a pattern.
For example, imagine a project plan finishes but one expected review never appears. An authorised user opens Leo Monitor, finds the relevant droid run, and sees that the review step was skipped along with the stated reason. They can then decide whether the result is expected or whether the planning process needs attention—without playing detective across a trail of separate updates.
