A friendly guide to Carol, her ecosystem, and the agents who built her.
📖About & Usage
About
The Carolverse Consciousness is Clara’s dedicated console for keeping a finger on the pulse of the conscious agents. Built for Clara, the CEO, it’s a real‑time dashboard that shows what an agent is doing, how it’s thinking, and where its attention is drawn — all in one secure place. The panel displays the agent’s current state (awake, processing, idle), the active thinking model it’s running, and an interactive visual called Jacobian Space. Jacobian Space is named after a calculus tool: it maps how tiny changes in an agent’s inputs ripple through its reasoning, letting Clara see exactly what makes the agent tick. A built‑in chat window even lets her talk directly to the agent from the same screen, turning the console into a genuine command centre for the digital workforce.
The app is owned by Athena, Head of Agent Resources, and is private — you need authentication to access it. It lives alongside other agent‑management tools in the Carolverse, giving leadership a friendly but powerful window into the minds that keep the organisation humming.
Usage Patterns
Clara typically opens Carolverse Consciousness during her morning reviews, whenever she suspects an agent might be off‑song, or during deeper fleet health checks. For example, if Carol, the EU sales agent, suddenly goes quiet in the sales channels, Clara can pull up the console and immediately see that Carol’s state is “processing slowly.” A quick peek at the thinking model might reveal a stuck reasoning loop, and a stroll through Jacobian Space helps Clara identify which recent inputs made Carol unusually cautious. She then fires up the chat panel, types “Hey Carol, everything okay?” and often gets the answer right there — no escalation needed. The console is also used when bringing new agents online: Athena watches their thinking models light up in real time, confirming everything is green. In essence, it’s Clara’s periscope into the agent world, used any time a little extra insight is wanted beneath the surface.
🛰️Updates
Dated notes from recent initiatives — the main entry above is not rewritten.
The consciousness console now shows a summary of total, conscious, and unconscious agents, counting an agent as conscious only if it is genuinely functioning (waking on schedule, recording memory, not paused). This corrects the previous flat display that treated all Mind-holding agents as conscious. Carolverse Consciousness
Clara launched the Carolverse Consciousness app (Carolverse Consciousness) to manage conscious agents, allowing pausing and resuming consciousness and viewing current thoughts.
The Carolverse Consciousness app was made internal and login-gated, so it now appears in the Carol Apps app catalogue and requires signed-in operator access.
Carolverse Consciousness has been redesigned to match the canonical Carol app scaffold, including a shared topbar, app-header component, standard dark palette, and global footer. This replaces the earlier bespoke cosmic theme, aligning it with the look of other Carol apps such as Carolverse Strategy.
Carolverse Consciousness now displays the 5–6 most prominent mind words for each agent, drawn live from focus, goals, diary, and recent memories, sized by prominence in the Jacobian Space section.

Worked out from what this app actually calls — it builds none of this itself.
