📖About & Usage

About

Hermione Monitor is the watchful eye that keeps Carol’s automated workflows on track. It constantly checks running processes, reviews their outcomes, and can step in to fix things when something drifts off course. Think of it as a self-healing operations assistant — it doesn’t just raise alarms, it actually helps put things right. The app is owned by Hermione, the agent Hermione, who relies on it to maintain order across the ecosystem without needing constant manual oversight.

At its core, Hermione Monitor bridges the gap between detection and action. It watches scheduled jobs, background tasks, and other automated routines, then flags anything unusual — like a failed pipeline or a data mismatch — and either triggers a predefined fix or surfaces the issue with enough detail for Hermione herself to intervene. This makes it a quiet but essential piece of Carol’s monitoring stack, ensuring that the machinery behind the scenes hums along reliably.

Usage Patterns

This app is always on, silently scanning the health of Carol’s operations. A typical scenario: overnight, a scheduled process that compiles daily reports hits an error because a required data source was temporarily unavailable. Hermione Monitor catches the failure immediately, inspects the logs, determines the root cause, and automatically reschedules the job once the data source is back — all before a human would even notice the gap. If the problem is too complex for an automated fix, it packages the relevant diagnostics and notifies Hermione (or another operations agent) directly, cutting out the guesswork. In practice, Hermione Monitor is fired hundreds of times a day as part of Carol’s background rhythm, making it an invisible but indispensable safety net for the entire agent workforce.
